What prompted you to join Freemasonry? I have always strived to find a collection of individuals with a common purpose of bettering themselves as a means of bettering society around them, without the selfishness of focusing on personal gain or notoriety. When I was first introduced to Masonry, I saw the tenets that supported my own - specifically, an understanding that we all meet on the Level regardless of social, political, or religious standing or status. I petitioned immediately, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Biography: I was born and raised in central Minnesota, and after moving around quite a bit, have settled right here in Minneapolis with my family: my wife Laura, my children Anders and Linnea, and our family springer spaniel Isabelle. Laura is an optometrist for Associated Eye Care, a medical group based out of Stillwater, MN, and I teach high school biology at North Community High School in Minneapolis and tremendously enjoy working in the community that I serve.
